A wreath for you

I made each of these wreaths using Olive and New England Ivy cardstock. A piece of Frosted is mounted on Olive cardstock. The Merry Christmas sentiment comes from the newest Cricut cartridge set. I added sparkle to the wreaths using Glitter glitz or a few clear sparkles. The bow comes from Baker's twine and the dove is from an old Stamp of the Month. I stamped it in Pigment Ink and used Clear Heat emboss powder. I then outlined it in Gold Stickles glitter glue. The cards that don't have the dove have a sticker from a craft store set.

Christmas cards that sparkle!

I made these cards using Prisma Glitter and my heat emboss tool. You know how I love bling and here the whole card is bling! I even added more sparkle with the White Glimmer trim.

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to this edition of the Pineapple Paper Artists Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you have come from Amy's Blog http://amyraimy.blogspot.com/ you've already seen this Cutie Pie S1412 in action. Once you've perused my entries you can click on the link at the bottom to go on to Martha's Blog.

Here I used the brand new Hopscotch paper X7194B on a layout from the Magic Book. I colored the cupcakes with the Shin Han markers Z2469 and then cut them out. They are popped up with 3D Foam tape. My cupcakes are each topped with a Flamingo Dot or Aqua Dot.

On this page I stamped the banner a few times in Glacier, Flaxen and Smoothie. I then cut them out and "strung" them on the new Flaxen Extra Thick Twine, available in the new Seasonal Expressions catalog. I cut out circles and used the Sunset Washi tape on them to add a little dimension.

Christmas Card Blog Hop

Welcome the the Pineapple Paper Artists Blog Hop of Christmas cards. If you just came from Gretchen's blog http://www.gstumme.blogspot.com I'm sure you are already enjoying some Christmas-themed creativity. I used Snowhaven paper as the base for my cards. I have two scrapbooking clubs and both wanted to use this paper so I had some scraps leftover that I just couldn't throw away. Viola! Christmas cards were born.

I cut the flowers and snowflakes for the cards using Art Philosophy. All the cards also feature our new White shimmer trim, available in the Seasonal Expressions catalog. So pretty! The Merry Christmas sentiment comes from Sing Glory C1587, a hostess stamp set. The "peace" sentiment is from an old stamp set but could be recreated using a current alphabet set or different word. The third card uses the scallop punch on some Glacier card stock. You know I can't resist bling so I added a few sparkles to each card.
I hope you will continue on in the blog hop by clicking the link to Harriet's Blog here: http://harrietsbutterflykisses.blogspot.com/

Last Thank you card

This is my last Thank You card for the month. I have started focusing more on Christmas projects. Plus, there will be some Blog Hops coming up that you can enjoy checking out. Stay tuned.

Many Thanks

This is a Hostess stamp set in the new Seasonal Inspirations catalog. And some really old paper. ;)

Saturday, November 15, 2014

Thanks in Purple

This one was simple but quite effective, I think. The diagonal stripes come from the Basics Assortment paper and the dots were achieved with the embossing folder. I added a small piece of solid Gypsy paper, ribbon and glimmer trim to a piece of White Daisy. I inked the edges and then adhered it to my card. The elephant is a Cuddly Salutation from the hostess collection.

snowhaven layout

This is the daunting-looking layout we did at Club last night. It uses a folio to add the extra layout. I have been holding on to those for so long that CTMH no longer sells them. You could accomplish a similar idea with Flip Flaps if you want. It's great for Christmas gatherings that have a ton of keepsake photos. Both layouts were taken from the Magic book. The "inside" layout is on Glacier paper. We used the scallop punch and the Triangle Border punch. The cluster of flowers on the first pages were stamped with the Stamp of the Month in Glacier, Cranberry and Whisper inks. I added a black sparkle flourish and clear sparkles. With two extra pages to put together I deliberately kept the stamping to a minimum. Feel free to add snowflakes or other ornaments to personalize your layout. It was fun and surprisingly easy!

Cheery thanks

This thank you card was created using the December Stamp of the Month and Basics Assortment paper in Whimsy. I also used one of our new border punches to create the triangles.

Month of Thank Yous continues

Fun with my cuddlebug! Three embossing folders were used to create this card. Simple and elegant.

Snowhaven thanks

I always like the look of black, white and red together. Then the Snowhaven paper adds in Whisper and Glacier for a snowy, crisp ensemble. I added some tiny gems in clear and black.

Simple Thanks

I made this card using the Basics assortment paper and the Quatrefoil embossing folder. It's simple but elegant, at the same time.

Thanks

The design for this one was inspired from a card in Make it From Your Heart Volume 2. This is one of my favorites because it uses Sweet Leaf and Lagoon colors, two of my favs! The message is cut on Cricut Artiste. Then there's the wonderful teal glimmer trim and topiary chevron ribbon. For the most part, I like to make sure my cards can be sent through the mail without issue. Once in awhile I go over the top and have to hand-deliver something.

More thanks

Pathfinding paper and Season of Thanks stamp set. Seems appropriate, don't you think? And, of course, bronze glimmer trim for a little sparkle.

Thank You

Chevrons are in! And Washi tape. And bling. This card has it all. ;-) The little strip of paper is from an old paper packet called Claire.

Month of Thank Yous

I had the idea to help me focus on having a thankful heart to post a Thank You card each day of November. Well, it's already the third and I have only posted one. Realistically, I don't think I can be counted on to post daily. But I will post the correct amount of cards for the days of the month. There just might be a couple that show up on the same day. So here's two cards for yesterday and today.

I hope you enjoy seeing these cards this month and that you are inspired to create. I hope you remember some little things you can be thankful for as well. (like being able to check out homemade cards without leaving your warm house!) See you tomorrow. ;)

Pineapple Paper Artists Blog Hop (SOTM)

Welcome to the Pineapple Paper Artists Blog Hop. We are featuring the It's the Little Things November Stamp of the Month. I hope you will click the link at the end of the post to continue on the next consultant's post. Maybe you have found your way here from http://www.gstumme.blogspot.com/Welcome!  I'm sure you will find it interesting to see how we have used the same stamp set in different ways.

The card on the left uses Glacier carstock as its base. I added silver Glitter paper, White Daisy and Cranberry cardstock. I centered the flowers with the tiniest gray opaques.                 The card on the left features Pathfinding paper on Champagne cardstock. I stamped in the featured colors to coordinate with the B&T paper. The sentiment is cut from Cricut Artiste and mounted on a piece of Barn Red cardstock that I ran through the Cuddlebug with the Quatrefoil folder.

Happy Birthday, Bro!

I made this card for my Precious Little Brother (PLB). I used Scaredy Cat paper on Slate cardstock, a retired Happy Birthday stamp set with 1 1/4 inch circles and some Washi tape. I added some "manly" bling and used the Dots embossing folder to add some dimension.

Scaredy Cat layout

This is the layout we did at Club using Scaredy Cat paper. As many of you know, I am not a fan of Halloween so I was pleased to come up with a layout using "Halloween" paper that doesn't have to be covered in trick or treaters. :-)

We made our banners using the Bodacious Banners stamp set with Slate, Thistle and Sunset inks. We used the glossy side of the Sunset paper from the Whimsy Fundamentals. Accents include Sunset chevron and slate Washi tapes. Also Purple Shimmer trim and Black stripe twill ribbon. We added bling with Clear sparkles and Purple glitter gems. I added my title with the Circus Alphabet which was a stamp of the month in the last catalog.

Pineapple Paper Artists Blog Hop

Welcome to my entry of the Autumn Beauty Blog Hop. Maybe you are beginning here or coming from Harriet's blog. http://harrietsbutterflykisses.blogspot.com/ Once you have checked out my entry you can continue in the Hop by clicking on the link below.

This is a wreath I made using Pathfinding paper. I covered an 8 inch styrofoam wreath with ribbon and then used a hot glue gun to adhere 2 1/2 inch leaves to the wreath. I cut the leaves with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge using the Petal shape. I folded the tip of the leaf that I glued just to give it a bit of dimension. I also used a pencil to curl the ends of the leaves. Along with Pathfinding paper I used a bit of Barn Red cardstock. I added some Baker's Twine and Rosewood Mini-medley accents. The wooden acorns are no longer available but I couldn't resist sponging them and adding them in.
Now you can hop on over to Gretchen's blog http://www.gstumme.blogspot.com/ for some more inspiration.

Pathfinding Layout

This is the layout we did at Club using Pathfinding paper. For our embellishments we stamped and cut out images from the Lifetime of Happiness stamp set. On the bottom of page 2 we stamped Season of Thanks in Barn Red. We also used the cork shapes from the Pathfinding assortment and gold or silver sequins. I added a little bronze glitter trim ribbon and Topiary mini-chevron ribbon.

Chalk It Up

This is the layout I have planned for the Girls' Scrapbook Club later this month. I used the Workshop on the Go stamp set with Lagoon, Sorbet and Flaxen inks. The ruler is a Cricut Artbooking cut. The inches really are accurate! I added some old Baker's twine and a bit of Washi tape to round it out.

Timberline Layout

This layout idea comes from the Magic book. Page 56 and 57. If you are putting it together at home you may want to refer to this for the measurements. We used Timberline paper and the Workshop on the Go stamp set. We embellished with Baker's Twine and Durables Triangles. The Great Outdoors title was cut out on Cricut with the Artbooking cartridge.

Ariana layout

This is the layout using the Ariana paper packet. We did our stamping with the WOTG set. We used Crystal Blue, Blush, and Olive inks. We embellished with bitty sparkles, and the little roses from the Ivy Lane assortment. We also adorned the page with circles cut from the Pink Glitter Paper. On the second page is a little photo wallet that is closed with the hook and loop dots. You could attach it to your page with glue dots or a couple more hook and loop dots to be able to take it out and pass it around.

Skylark Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pineapple Paper Artists Blog Hop. Whether you are arriving from Martha's http://marthaporschet.blogspot.com/ blog or starting here, I hope you will enjoy our creations made with Skylark paper. Please click the link below to continue to Amy's blog.

I wanted to show the versatility of Skylark paper by making a more "masculine" layout. I made this layout with Skylark paper on Desert Sand cardstock. I edged the white photo mats in Desert Sand ink and the Sweet Leaf paper in Lagoon ink. My title was made by tearing the Chocolate Woodgrain Washi tape Z1930 into letters. The tags and other stamping were done with the True to Life C1575 stamp set in Lagoon Ink. I used the Timberline wooden accents and Shimmer Trim tape in Bronze and Teal to add some fun. A little Burlap ribbon and Topiary Mini Chevron ribbon add dimension. The tags are tied with Hemp Baker's Twine.

Now you can check out Amy's http://amyraimy.blogspot.com/ blog. Happy hopping!

Camper card

I made this card with the adorable Camper Crazy C1578 stamp set. Love it! I used a bit of Timberline paper to mat the tag and to do the inside. My dad would always ask my brother and I if we were "happy campers" so this made the perfect Father's Day card for him.

Balloon Ride

This is the layout we made at Club using Balloon ride paper. The Colonial White papers are embossed with the Quatrefoil and Damask folders. The Damask pattern is inked with Crystal Blue. We sponged the edges of all our papers with Cashmere ink. We embellished with Rosewood accents and Bronze Shimmer trim tape. The shape was cut out on Art Philosophy and stamped with Frame Flair. The pattern for this page was inspired by one in Magic. We also "stitched" the edges of our paper using the CTMH ruler, a piercing tool and a brown marker. (I don't sew!)

Jubilee

This is the Jubilee layout the ladies made at Club this month. We stamped with the WOTG stamp set in Cranberry, Topiary, Honey and Indian Corn Blue inks. I scissor distressed the edges of all the B&T papers and sponged the Colonial White in Cashmere ink. There are a few Triangle Durables Studs added for a touch of metal.

Hexagons!

This was the last Girls Scrapbook Club layout we did. We used some Dream Pop paper I've been saving, Juniper cardstock and, of course, the Honeycomb stamp set. C1537. There's a strip of pink glitter paper and some gray polka dot Washi tape to accent. The girls stamped in Cotton Candy, Honey, Sorbet, Juniper and Gray Wool. A friend made this same layout using Honey cardstock instead of Juniper and we liked that look as well or better.
